Focused on creating an Advanced B2B Commerce Functionality, this project fully transformed the information systems of this business. Basis started as an ordinary physical supplier that pulled off its financial business processes with traditional software products (Microsoft Excel\Word etc.) or even with handwritten documents. In total, digital business-to-business transformation for this customer meant:
- Ground zero was the desktop version, as this is the most-preferred platform for B2B customers
- Personalized, custom pricing policy for each B2B customer
- Custom-built product catalog based on customer’s attributes
- Interface with Singular Galaxy ERP System
- Self-registration of B2B customers through an approval system

Adding an enhanced sticky bar on the page, was key in creating an easy and flexible customer’s journey. “Description”, “Technical Characteristics” and “Ratings & Reviews” buttons, anchor to the appropriate sections on page and offer quick and uncomplicated navigation. This sticky bar also gives the customers easy access to the “Add to Cart” button, so they can add their product to their shopping cart at any time.

Every online shopper compares products. Based on this fact, we created a clear and simple product comparison tool that allows customers with serious purchase intent, to make faster and more confident decisions. Based on B2B and B2C customers’ needs, the comparison page displays: after-tax and tax-free price, product code, a short description with the product’s main characteristics, the manufacturer and the color of product. When the shopper has made a choice, the “Add to Cart” button is there to complete the comparison procedure.

It is a challenge to create an adequate B2B mobile design. This challenge was successfully completed on the e-basis mobile version website. Product – relatable, sticky filters and valuable information about B2B purchases, help customers to make the right choices and render the seller trustworthy. Also, product recommendations based on customers’ preferences and history, “Relatable Products” and “You’ve Seen Also”, improve the user experience and lead them closer to a purchase.
